About
Launched in Fall 2025, Signs for Democracy seeks to empower the pro-democracy movement through bold public messaging with yard signs, billboards, banners, bumper stickers, media campaigns, and more.
Our mission is to raise awareness, inspire action at the ballot box, and show that no one is alone in their outrage at this blatant destruction of our democracy.
We use the tools of messaging for good, connecting and energizing our community to stand up and vote for democracy.
Our mission reflects a simple truth: The current crisis goes way beyond politics.
The GOP has abandoned traditional conservatism, using the chaos of MAGA to advance its extreme agenda of destruction and religious oligarchy.
This is no longer about political debate - it’s about defending democracy itself.
We don’t endorse candidates, but we do believe in powerful, visible messaging to counter disinformation and highlight who is working for - or against - the public good.
We don’t have to march to make our voices heard!
Our goal is to make pro-democracy voices louder and more visible, encouraging everyone to unite and get involved. Even just planting a protest sign in a yard can inspire neighbors to do the same (or at least to vote), building a sense of community in our common cause to save our country.

Note from the founder
As a proud Danish-American and naturalized US citizen, I’m deeply concerned about the threats facing our democracy.
Inspired by the activism of my fellow travelers, I created this site as a way to amplify pro-democracy messages and counteract all the hate and misinformation.

I felt it was time for democracy and social justice to be just as visible as all the other messaging in our public spaces.
Launching with a handful of signs that give voice to my own outrage and hope, I look forward to seeing if this idea has traction - now is the time to get loud!
